Facebook Is Testing Gifs in Comments
Apart from other features of Facebook, now it is announced to embrace the animated GIF too. The social network started testing of GIF images for commenting and for this; the feed is not going to be the same. This is not the first trial of Facebook for using animated GIFs on comments, the process was actually allowed to execute since 2015. This moderated form of commenting or replying over Facebook posts shows that users become omnipresent. It shows the new way of presentation for any Facebook posts. On almost every messaging platform, these animated GIFs are being found now; no matter if you don’t like them, for sure your friend will love it. Twitter had offered quite same services to let the users express themselves instead of using normal emojis, letters or numbers, and Facebook added facilities in the loop.
And as Facebook founder found that there is high usage of GIF so, they started testing over this concept. And till the date, results of this testing is going well. Just because of good stock of GIF images, people started loving to share these with loved ones in comment of posts.
From Facebook, the task of testing GIFs in comments started just for few users. With some sorts of positive results and researches as Facebook Gifs are working for messenger, the same process is easy to comment as Gif. As in live event which held in December 2016, Facebook founder Mr. Mark Zuckerberg indicated that best and appropriate support for animated GIFs will come in future for social networks and it would be helpful to make the comment threads amazing. It will be really helpful to see the user’s’ response and for this, company will execute the task only for a decided percentile of users. The Facebook users would be able to express themselves in a positive and impressive manner.
According to a spokesperson from Facebook, “all those who love to answer their besties in different manner look for something uncommon and this is the reason why we took step ahead to make them comfortable to say what they want to with the use of GIF images. He added that we will add more features in GIF category but as of now, we are just testing Gifs on Facebook comments.”
Facebook has eye-catching as well as long shirked animated images to say what user actually wants to see and this medium is highly effective. Flashy feeds will surely be appreciated by Facebook users. Just because of some disruption and destruction fear factor, the reported use of GIFs was not allowed, however Facebook has feature to support for GIFs since years.
At that time, Facebook feeds were easily connected to auto-play video but, these Feeds from Facebook used to share GIFs or direct URLs with the help of other sites like Tumblr or Imgur. And Facebook was only allowed to share GIFs over pages and ads, there was not any direct connection to share GIFs just because of there was no browser to browse and upload GIF images.
Added support for GIF images is not any surprising thing for Facebook users. For the determined time once the testing of GIF images on comments if only is valuable when users will start using this feature on high rate. If people will not have to move on other connected websites to find right GIF for posting that in Facebook then, for sure the results of testing will be as per expectation.
Handy GIFs will help Facebook users when they just don’t know what to reply. So, why not to grab the right GIF to express yourself when you are commenting on Facebook. It saves time, effort and shows your interest in the post or status.
